About
Rawand Abu Ganem is Gaza’s first female surfer and a graduate of English Literature. Once riding the Mediterranean as an act of freedom and defiance, she is now displaced by war and living in a tent in Gaza with her husband and two children. Her life reflects both the cultural richness that existed in Gaza before its destruction and the daily struggle for survival faced by families today.
